Paul - Owner and Managing Director

Paul has worked with computers since he left school.

He’s been building websites since 2012 and has developed in Drupal and WordPress. His previous experience as a Data Architect means that he views websites from a different viewpoint than many web developers. This was the main reason that he designed and helped build our EasyEdit back office.

Out of Hours

Paul doesn’t just speak fluent geek – he lives it! He’s a Science Fiction nut, hence the not-so-subtle space theme on the website.

So you won’t be surprised to find that WhiteStar is named after a sci-fi starship that was built to fight a war to save the galaxy. We intend to save the galaxy too – from bad websites!

Another of Paul’s passions is fencing. He’s an experienced Epeeist and has competed at local, national and international levels.

Paul also enjoys a good walk in the countryside. In 2023 he’s walking 1000 miles to raise money for a local charity.

Karen - graphic designer and Web Developer

Karen has over 20 years’ experience in graphic and web design, specialising in branding, marketing collateral and WordPress web design. Past experience has included private and public sector agencies, hospitality industry marketing and FMCG packaging design.

Out of Hours

When not at her desk, she enjoys the company of her two little terriers, crafting customised cushions and country walks.

Louis - Web Developer

Louis started in the digital space at aged 16, supplying video editing services to YouTube gamers. Since then he’s expanded and honed his skillset and has helped business owners with video editing, website design & development (and all things marketing).

Out of Hours

Louis is a practicing Nichiren Daishonin Buddhist and has been chanting Nam Myoho Renge Kyo since the age of 8.

He’s a proud supporter of Liverpool FC (but we don’t hold that against him!).

He also has an A* in Latin, so he actually knows what lorem ipsum means!

Lindsay - Marketing Specialist & Copywriter

Lindsay has 20 years of experience working in marketing. She’s a highly trained Chartered Marketer and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing. Her key strengths are creating winning strategies for businesses to help them reach their goals and creating inspiring copy that brings companies to life.

She’s also our lead copywriter.

Out of Hours

Outside of work, words are just as important to her. Lindsay has written and published 9 novels and 1 non-fiction book, and she has plenty more ideas in her notebooks!

Claire - Graphic Designer

Claire has over 25 years experience in the industry and delivers graphic design solutions across all platforms including print, digital and online, ensuring your brand really stands out from the crowd and is consistent across all areas. She examines all the psychological influences of design to ensure you’re sending the right messages to your target audience.

Out of Hours

Outside of work Claire lives in Northampton with her partner, Mark. She has three grown up sons and enjoys keeping fit and planning exciting travels abroad.

Alex - Technical Guru

Alex is our tech wizard. She’s the one we go to when we hit weird bugs, performance issues and anything else that needs real deep technical know-how.

Since obtaining a BSc in Computer Science, Alex has gone on to create eCommerce sites, database systems and document management systems for a wide range of clients.
